Human factors discovers and applies information about human behavior, abilities, limitations, and other characteristics to the design of tools, machines, systems, tasks, jobs, and environments for productive, safe, comfortable, and effective human use. This course is mainly about characteristics of human, human input and output, workplace, environmental conditions, safety and accidents. It helps students focus on people-oriented design concept, understand the human physiological and psychological characteristics, and apply in product design and interaction design.
