With development of information technology, it is necessary for managers and engineers to own the ability to work with database technology. “Theory and application of database” is a required course for logistic engineering and industrial engineering undergraduates, the aim of the course is to introduce database theory, including the relation data model, the relation arithmetic, the SQL language, the normal format theory and the database safety technology. Through the course, the undergraduates should be able to design a database management system.
