Mechanical Drawing is a required fundamental technical course for students of mechanical majors in college, and it is a prerequisite for the subsequent courses and important for students to fulfill the course design and the graduation design.
This curriculum focuses on the drawing and reading of engineering drafts, the theory and method to resolve the space geometry matter. In this course, the engineering draft can be drawn either by hand or with a computer. The main task of the course is to cultivate the ability to use bi-dimensional projection to express the tri-dimensional space body, to cultivate the ability to draw engineering drafts and design tri-dimensional models, to cultivate the ability to illustrate the space geometry matter and visual thinking of space body.
This curriculum is precise and logical. It is not only systemic but also practical. And it plays an important role in cultivating students’ acquisition of scientific thinking method, strengthening engineering consciousness, and practicing the ability to work independently.
