Modern manufacturing system is a comprehensive discipline that integrates many disciplines and technologies such as modern managing technology, advanced manufacturing technology, automation technology and material technology. It covers the whole process of product lifecycle. This course mainly introduces the basic principle and composition of manufacturing system, advanced manufacturing mode, advanced manufacturing technology, manufacturing automatic system (MAS), industrial robot and assembly automation. Through this course, students will have a complete understanding of modern advanced manufacturing system, modern advanced manufacturing mode and advanced manufacturing process. Moreover, it enables students to master the design method of advanced mechanical manufacturing system and get the capabilities of mechanical manufacturing system for overall design and structural design.
