All these methods characterized of machining hard workpieces with soft tools, and are usually used to machine difficult-to-machine materials and complicated parts. Nowadays untraditional manufacturing methods have become more and more important in modern machining industry. Through the course, students can acquire the basic concept and theory of untraditional manufacturing methods, structure and work principle of untraditional manufacturing machine tools, and development trends in fields of untraditional manufacturing methods.
