In order to cultivate students' abilities of multi-disciplinary application, innovative design and practical operation, a series of practical courses named " Intelligent Robot Innovation Design and Comprehensive Practice " is provided by robot engineering major. This series of courses has the characteristics of combining theory, design and practice. This course which aimed at junior students in order to make basic robots. It focuses on mechanical assembly of robots, remote control operation, application of simple sensors and programming application of Arduino open source platform. The course aims to enhance students' interest in new knowledge and technology, so as to cultivate students practical ability, independent thinking ability and teamwork ability. The course will introduce a variety of techniques that involves robots design and production. It also provides using methods of materials and equipment as well as the basic knowledge of robot machinery, electronic circuit and control. The students are instructed to complete small robots with a certain function, which are based for senior professional knowledge of theory and practice.
