The course of human factors applies information about human behavior, abilities, limitations, and other characteristics to the design of tools, machines, systems, tasks, jobs, and environments for productive, safe, comfortable and effective human use.
This course mainly covers characteristics of human, information input, human output and control, workplace, environmental conditions, safety and accidents. Through the basic theories and projects, it helps students focus on human-centered design concepts and understand the human physiological and psychological characteristics, and apply them to product design and interaction design projects.
