Optimum design is an effective means to solve complex design problems and plays an important role in further improving the level of engineering design and the quality of mechanical products. This course introduces the basic concepts and theories of optimum design, various optimization algorithms and their application methods, and lays a necessary foundation for training students to use modern design methods to solve complex engineering design problems. At the same time, new research progress in the field of optimization design is introduced to broaden students' knowledge.
