In the course, numerical control principle, numerical control system and application of numerical control in manufacturing are introduced systematically. Major content of the course includes the basic concept and method of numerical control, composition of numerical control system, development of numerical control technology; interpolation algorithm, tool compensation, acceleration and deceleration control technology used in CNC machine tools; hardware and software structure design and interface technology of CNC machine system; case study of open CNC system, etc.. The course focuses on ability training of students on design, selection and development of numerical control system, so that students can be competent at a job of numerical control technology related.
