Jing Zhou received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2015. He is now a research associate at the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. Dr. Zhou currently serves as the Research Associate of Engineering Research Center of Part rolling, Ministry of Education, which studies and develops parts rolling technologies, and promotes their industrialization. His research interests include plastic metal forming technologies and equipment development, lightweight metal forming technologies, and high precision part rolling technologies and equipment development. His present research focuses include the hot stamping processes of high strength steels, aluminum alloys and titanium alloys, and the high precision part rolling processes.
In the last 5 years, he was involved in the research projects of hot stamping of high strength steels and aluminum alloys, including the constitutive modeling of lightweight metals at high temperature, the damage evolution and modeling in hot forming processes, and the development of new processes to obtain the tailored properties of parts. He participated in the National Science and Technology Major Project of the railway axle cross wedge rolling process development, and studied the forming mechanism of cross wedge rolling of railway axle. He designed the skew rolling machine for bearing balls and grinding balls and help enterprises establish skew rolling production lines. He has served as the principal investigator or collaborator of research projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China.
