He received his Master Dgree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing  in 1984.

He is now a Professor at the Department of Logistics Engineering at the University of Science and Technology Beijing.  He visited Pennsylvania State University as visiying scholar for one year in 2009.

He currently serves as the director of research team of Logistics System Analysis , which research works focus on Manufacturing Execution System abbreviated as MES , logistics Information system ,production scheduling ,production system simulation and business intelligence.

In the last 10 years, He has served as project leader of more than 30 research projects, with a total funding of more than 5 million yuan. He has more than 50 technical publications and 4 books.
