Xiuli Wu received her Ph.D degree in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2006. She is now a Professor at Department of Logistics Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing. She currently serves as the Teaching Director of Logistics Engineering major. Her current research interests include production scheduling, logistic optimization, intelligent algorithms.

In the last 10 years, she was involved in the modeling and optimization of complex manufacturing system, including flexible job shop scheduling problem, hybrid flow shop scheduling problem, and service-oriented manufacturing system scheduling problem.

She has served as the PI or co-PI of more than 5 research projects, with a total funding of more than 1.5 million RMB. She has more than 50 technical publications, including 50 in referred journals and transactions and two books. Her h-index is 8 according to the Google scholar analysis. The total number of citations to her work is more than 500. She believes in setting high expectation and helping students to exceed it by selecting innovative research topics with high impact.

Xiuli Wu has been an active member of China Simulation Federation, a member of intelligent simulation optimization and scheduling Committee of China Simulation Federation, a senior member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, a member of Environmental Protection and Green Manufacturing Technology Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and a member of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. She is also a reviewer of 12 journals, including the Journal of Cleaner Production, Computers and Operations Research, et.al.
