Zhao Ning received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Beijing institute of Technology in 2005. He is now a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. He currently serves as the professor in department of logistics. His research interests include digital twin technology on smart logistics and scheduling of fleet of robot, with emphasis on their applications to smart factory or warehouse.

In the last 5 years, he was involved in the design of several smart factory with connections to Siemens ltd China. He has served as the PI or co-PI of more than 10 research projects, with a total funding of more than 4 million Chinese RMB. He has more than 20 technical publications, including CAIE, IJPR, SMPAT and CJME.

He believes in setting high expectation and helping students to exceed it by selecting innovative research.
