Dr. Qian received her Ph.D. in Mechanics from Tsinghua University, Beijing in 2017. Her research interests are metal forming technology, modeling of manufacturing processes and material characterization. Her present research projects cover: 1) damage and fracture in deformation based manufacturing; 2) novel severe plastic deformation methods; 3) sheet forming of light-weight alloys; 4) Multi-Scale modeling. To support the above research activities, she has secured more than 15 research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Beijing, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and cooperation projects with scientific research institution and companies. She has published more than 20 journal papers and applied for 6 invention patents.
