Haibo Yang received the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Science &Technology Beijing, in 2004. Prior to that, he received the Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees, both in Mechanical Engineering, from Yanshan University, China, in 1982, and University of Science &Technology Beijing, China, in 1986, respectively.
He is now a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Science &Technology Beijing. He currently serves as the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Fluid Interaction with Material, Ministry of Education. His research interests include metal formability and die optimization, mechanical behavior of fluid-thermo-solid coupling and multi-scale simulation analysis. He has served as the PI or co-PI of more than 60 research projects, and he has more than 90 technical publications.
