Zhi-Ying Gao received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an in 2005. She is now an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering in USTB. Her research interests include dynamics and control in mechanical systems, nonlinear dynamics with application. Her current research focuses include mill dynamics and intelligent rolling, industrial big data and deep learning, and dynamics control of snake-like robots.
She has served as PI or co-PI of more than 30 research projects, with a total funding of more than 2.6 million RMB. She has more than 50 technical publications. In the past 5 years, She has published 9 SCI / EI articles in MSSP, Journal of mechanical engineering and other journals as the first or corresponding author. She also won the first prize of Metallurgical Science and technology award. One invention patent was authorized and transferred and two software copyrights were obtained. She serves as a reviewer of vibration and shock, JME, CJME, JSV, MSSP, ISRI, JMRT, etc.
