Qingdong Zhang received his Ph.D. in metallurgical machinery from school of mechanical engineering, Beijing University of science and technology in 1994. He is now a professor at the College of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. His current research focuses include strip rolling andsurface and thickness control of strip shape, plastic forming equipment and mechanical behavior of technology interface, buckling and wrinkling of thin strip. Qingdong Zhang, a specialist enjoying a special State allowance, has published more than 200 academic papers (more than 60 included in EI / SCI), and has obtain more 10 national patent (e.g. a feedforward control setting method of cold rolling shape based on the incoming strip profile ).
