Dr. Shaochuan Feng obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation from Shandong University in 2018. He is currently a lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, School of Mechanical Engineering in USTB, and he is a senior member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and a member of the China Simulation federation. His research interest focuses on additive manufacturing of metals, laser materials processing and technology, and analytical and computational modeling. He was granted the National Overseas Study Scholarship by China Scholarship Council in 2016 and International Postdoctoral Exchange Fellowship by China Postdoctoral Council in 2019, and conducted researches as a visiting scholar at the University of New South Wales, Australia and the Univerisity of Groningen, the Netherlands respectively In 2020, he won the Chunhui Cup Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas Chinese Scholars which was awarded by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Ministry of Education. He presided over several research projects and nearly RMB 500,000 in research funding. He has published 13 SCI/EI indexed papers. She teaches “Basics of Mechanical Manufacturing Process” and “Modern processing technology” for undergraduates.
