On October 25, 2020, 2020 4th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Applied Composite Materials, MEACM2020, was held successfully, hosted by the School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), and organized by X-ACADEMY Education Technology Co. The conference is presided by Prof. ZHENG Lifang, Vice Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering, USTB, Prof. SUN Chaoyang from USTB, and Prof. Kheng Lim Goh from Singapore Newcastle University in Singapore (NUIS) as co-chairs. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, this conference was held online and a total of 35 scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore shared their research achievements, explored collaborations and stimulated new ideas through online meetings.
In this conference, Prof. Kheng Lim Goh from Singapore Newcastle University in Singapore (NUIS), associate Professor Aidah Jumahat from University Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, associate Professor Weimin Huang from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Prof. SUN Chaoyang, Prof. ZHENG Lifang, Prof. LI Jiang, Associate Professor QI Xin, LIANG Shuai and ZHAO Hongliang gave keynote presentations to share the latest research achievements in the field of mechanical engineering and applied composite materials, discussing the cutting-edge theory of mechanical engineering, the revolution of applied composite materials and the new trend of industrial development mode.
The conference is an open call for high-quality, original and outstanding English academic papers from researchers. A total of 45 papers were accepted, with an acceptance rate of 43%, which will be published in Springer Nature: Mechanism and Machine Science (ISSN: 2211-0984) , as well as submitted to and included in EI Compendex, Scopus, and other databases.
MEACM Conference is held once a year, aiming to provide a platform for scholars in the fields of mechanical engineering and applied composite materials to share and exchange ideas. By hosting this conference, it will promote the international platform construction of “Endorsing Innovation in USTB”, and further broaden the communication channels between our school and foreign academic fields, which can help improve the international scientific research cooperation mechanism that matches with the development of our school, and promote the construction of first-class disciplines.
