The forming and simulation research team is mainly devoted to the multi-physical numerical simulation of the service and manufacturing process of the mechanical system and the study of the dynamic behavior of the mechanical system. Our research objects mainly involve metal plastic forming process and equipment, nuclear power equipment, aerospace equipment and Tri-Co Robots, etc. Our research fields mainly include the mechanical behavior in the plastic forming process of advanced metal materials, the dynamic modeling of complex electromechanical systems, and the design and analysis theory of special equipment. The research team is working to promote a better understanding of complex electromechanical systems, by combining multi-physical numerical simulation tools, intelligent design algorithms, and mechanical design and optimization methods. There are 2 professors (ZANG Yong, QIN Qin), 3 associate professors ( WU Diping, GAO Zhiying, GUAN Ben) in our research group, all of whom have obtained doctoral degrees and have overseas study or research experience. 10-15 postgraduate students and 3-4 doctoral students are recruited to study and work in the team every year. The research team has been supported by several national projects，such as National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). We have published more than 150 research papers and obtained more than 10 authorized invention patents. Through our research platform, we provide an excellent training ground for our undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows to advance their critical thinking skills, to gain independent research capabilities, to build-up collaborative team-work experience.
